The role you'll contribute to: The Patient Care Tech works under supervision of the professional nurse, assisting in performing specific duties and activities of daily living in caring for age specific groups identified in the position responsibilities. Adheres to the AdventHealth Central Texas Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

The value you'll bring to the team:

• Assists in the delivery of patient care as a team member under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Documents and reports all procedures in accordance with department policy.
• Participates in obtaining a nursing history and reports abnormalities to the registered nurse.
• Assists in identifying patient needs and developing or modifying the plan of care.

The expertise and experience you'll need to succeed:

• Minimum qualifications:
• High School Grad or Equiv Required
• 1 year Work Experience Required
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Required and
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Required
• Preferred qualifications:
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Preferred or
• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) Preferred
