Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) provides compassionate and resident-centered care during scheduled shifts in long-term care settings. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) to assist residents with daily living activities, maintaining dignity and promoting independence.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Obtaining and recording vital signs.
• Providing psychosocial support.
• Assisting with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety with proper techniques.
• Contributing to a positive dining experience by assisting with meals and hydration.
• Documenting resident interactions and reporting changes to the nursing team.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of living areas.
• Encouraging resident participation in wellness programs.
• Supporting the nursing staff with various procedures as needed.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who have:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• A minimum age of 16.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Required CNA certification or enrollment in a training program leading to certification within four months.
• Commitment to continuing education with a minimum of 12 hours annually.
• Certification as an Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) where applicable.

Your role may require driving responsibilities; hence a valid driver's license and a motor vehicle report will be necessary.
