Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in providing compassionate care to residents in our long-term care facility. You will be responsible for delivering resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the guidance of a registered nurse (RN). Key responsibilities include:

• Providing age-appropriate care that addresses both physical and psychological needs as outlined in care plans.
• Assisting with daily living activities, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Recording vital signs and documenting resident interactions to ensure comprehensive care.
• Facilitating resident mobility through safe transfer techniques and assisting with exercises.
• Enhancing the dining experience by helping with meal preparation and serving food and beverages.
• Supporting residents' social and emotional needs through encouraging participation in wellness and recreation activities.
• Maintaining a clean and operational living environment through housekeeping and laundry services.
• Collaborating with the nursing team to communicate changes in residents’ conditions and care needs.

Qualifications

Applicants should meet the following qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum age of 16; prior experience in long-term care is an advantage.
• Must hold a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or be in the process of obtaining it within four months of employment.
• Commitment to lifelong learning, including meeting annual continuing education requirements.
• Compliance with any state-specific registries required for Unlicensed Assistive Persons (UAP).
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to meet medical qualifications for driving responsibilities, if applicable.
