Position Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides vital support in patient care, focusing on hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and safety. You will work under the direction of a Charge Nurse and adhere to established guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with patient hygiene, ambulation, and nutrition support.
• Document patient information accurately in their records.
• Conduct initial assessments upon patient admission, including recording vital signs and ensuring proper orientation.
• Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs.
• Perform regular rounds to monitor residents and provide necessary care.
• Accurately measure and report intake and output.
• Apply medical devices and care items as ordered.
• Maintain an organized and well-stocked unit.
• Engage in continuous education to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and provide end-of-shift reports to the Charge Nurse.

Qualifications:

• Active Certified Nurse Assistant certification in the applicable state.
• CPR certification required or willingness to obtain within six months.
• Long-term care experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients and staff.
• Ability to manage time and organize daily tasks to meet productivity expectations.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, and lift as needed, with proper techniques.
• Manual dexterity and coordination for patient care and documentation tasks.
• Visual acuity to accurately assess patient needs.
