Certified Medical Assistant II - Radiation Oncology

Join our team of dedicated professionals as a Certified Medical Assistant II in the Radiation Oncology department. This full-time position offers a fantastic work-life balance with hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and no evening, weekend, or holiday shifts.

As a Medical Assistant II, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care in our outpatient clinic. You will work closely with providers and the healthcare team to ensure a seamless patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform patient intake and rooming processes, including collecting vital signs and reasons for the visit.
2. Gather comprehensive medical and social histories from patients and their families.
3. Assist providers during treatments and procedures, ensuring all necessary supplies are readily available.
4. Collect specimens and conduct phlebotomy as required.
5. Administer medications and perform diagnostic tests under supervision.
6. Educate patients on follow-up care and self-management instructions.
7. Support administrative tasks such as patient registration, appointment scheduling, and managing clinic supplies.
8. Participate in emergency response activities as directed.
9. Train and mentor new medical assistant hires and externs, promoting best practices within the clinic.

Education & Certification Requirements:

• Certification as a Medical Assistant from reputable organizations (AAMA, AMT, CCMA, NRCMA, NCMA).
• Basic Life Support Certification from AHA or ARC is required.

Experience:

• Minimum one year of full-time experience as a Certified Medical Assistant is preferred.
