The Certified Medical Assistant II plays a vital role in providing essential clinical and administrative support in our outpatient clinic. You will work under the supervision of healthcare providers to ensure our patients receive the highest quality of care.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform patient intake and rooming processes, including vital signs and data collection related to the reason for the visit.
2. Gather patient medical and social histories.
3. Review current medication lists, allergies, and preferred pharmacies.
4. Assist providers during treatments and procedures.
5. Collect specimens and perform phlebotomy as needed.
6. Administer medications under provider direction.
7. Conduct tests such as EKGs and eye exams as instructed.
8. Ensure exam rooms are stocked with necessary supplies and educational materials.
9. Provide patients with after-visit and self-care instructions.
10. Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam and treatment rooms.
11. Assist with patient registration, scheduling, and answering telephones.
12. Support in emergency situations as directed.
13. Additional responsibilities may include training new staff and managing supplies.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program is preferred but not mandatory.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant from recognized organizations is required.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is a must.
• A minimum of one year of full-time experience as a certified Medical Assistant is required.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.

This full-time position, offering a competitive salary range of $18.66 - $26.51 per hour, provides a dedicated work schedule of Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Join us in our commitment to serving our community!
