Your Responsibilities:

• Conduct physical examinations and establish medical histories to assess donor suitability.
• Build relationships with donors to ensure their satisfaction.
• Maintain donor and staff confidentiality.
• Inform donors about potential hazards.
• Provide health education and counseling regarding test results.
• Evaluate and manage donor injuries and adverse events.
• Assess medical history and medication use to ensure donors remain suitable.
• Assist with staff training and administer the employee Hepatitis Vaccine program.

Requirements:

Must be educated and certified/licensed in your state as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT. A current CPR certification is also required.

Key Attributes:

• Ability to perform standing and sitting tasks for 2 to 4 hours daily.
• Capability to bend and twist the neck for 1 to 2 hours a day.
• Frequent hand movements, requiring dexterity and the ability to manipulate objects.
• Light lifting capabilities of up to 15 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Good hearing acuity and vision correctable to satisfactory levels.
• Excellent communication skills to convey information effectively.
• Able to work independently and follow oral or written instructions.
• Flexible in adapting to diverse tasks in a changing environment.
• Comfortable with sensitive information and able to work in a plasma center.
• Prepared for possible exposure to biological fluids and infectious organisms, requiring protective equipment in designated environments.
