CDL Truck Driver

Join South Lake Refuse & Recycling , a Waste Connections company, as a CDL Truck Driver! We have an exciting opportunity available to support local routes.

Our schedule is Monday - Friday, starting at 4 AM, with occasional Saturdays as needed.

Starting pay is $24 per hour, with a pay range of $24.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on your experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a garbage truck on designated routes to collect solid waste.

• Read and follow route sheets to service each customer listed or assigned by the dispatcher.

• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles, including checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.

• Engage in physically demanding tasks involving loading and unloading, sometimes without assistance.

• Provide courteous interaction with customers while performing other assigned job-related duties.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

• Requires extensive physical activity, including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects over 50 pounds.

• Work environment includes some exposure to physical risks, necessitating adherence to basic safety precautions.

• Exposed to outside weather conditions, including frequent wet and humid environments, fumes, vibrations, and moderate noise levels.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Valid Class A or B CDL with air brakes endorsement required.

• Must possess a clean driving record.

• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate effectively in English; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

• Minimum 1 year of experience related to the outlined duties and responsibilities required.
