Position Overview:

Interstate Waste Services is currently seeking skilled CDL B Front Load Truck Drivers to join our dedicated team. We prioritize safety as our top concern and offer an attractive hourly wage of $27.90.

Interstate Waste Services is recognized as an innovative leader in solid waste and recycling services, catering to a variety of residential, industrial, and commercial clients. Our operations span Northern New Jersey, Southern New York State, New York City, and have recently expanded into Pennsylvania and Ohio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate front-loading trucks to pick up waste and recyclable materials, ensuring timely transportation to disposal or recycling facilities.
• Make multiple trips throughout your shift, handling both manual and automatic trucks.
• Participate in the physical requirements of the job, including lifting up to 50 pounds and maneuvering materials up to 100 pounds.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Possess a valid Class A or B CDL with an airbrake endorsement.
• 1 year of CDL driving experience within the last 7 years is mandatory.
• Maintain a great safety record and clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
• Experience as a driver or helper in the waste industry is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and traffic regulations is essential.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, comprehend maps, and understand common traffic signals.
• Must meet the physical and safety requirements of the position and be willing to work various hours as per DOT regulations, including weekends and holidays.

Additional Information:

• Drivers must navigate congested areas and perform highly skilled backing maneuvers.
• Regular climbing in and out of the truck cab is required to serve customer accounts.
• Pre and post-trip inspections are mandatory; drivers must ensure the truck complies with all safety standards.
