CDL A Truck Driver - Daily Home Time

Job Description:

Key Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Hold a valid Class A commercial driver's license
• Maintain a safe driving record and history
• Willingness to obtain hazardous materials, tank vehicle, and doubles/triples endorsements within 90 days of employment
• Pass a DOT drug test with no prior positive tests or refusals in the last 3 years
• Possess a valid DOT Medical Certification Card or be able to pass a company-paid DOT physical
• Be flexible with working hours, including shifts up to 12-14 hours right through day, night, and weekends

Preferred Skills:

• Experience operating a forklift

Your Daily Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a tractor-trailer combination, including doubles and triples
• Deliver excellent customer service and identify sales opportunities
• Load and unload freight safely and efficiently

Physical Demands:

• Lift various objects regularly, up to 50 lbs and occasionally more than 75 lbs
• Move and position a converter dolly averaging 128 lbs
• Safely climb in and out of the tractor cab/trailer
• Ability to sit for long periods while driving or operating equipment
• Walk and stand on varied surfaces, sometimes uneven or slippery
• Conduct tasks requiring bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, twisting, squatting, and kneeling
• Operate a tractor-trailer combination for extended hours in diverse weather conditions
