Cash Posting Team Member

Responsibilities:

1. Ensures all batches/checks, denials, and adjustments are keyed and posted within 2 business days of receipt.
2. Meets productivity standards for keyed payments and denials based on scale of assigned payer.
3. Achieves 95% or greater accuracy rate on transactions keyed based on quarterly audit.
4. Ensures each completed batch cover sheet total balances to the postings in EMR and Vendor account with minimal variance.
5. Ensures the batch cover sheet also balances to the Daily Batch Check-In spreadsheet.
6. Clears/applies unapplied cash/ACH - No Patient transaction within 60 days of initial posting by working with the AR Teams and Payer contacts to follow up in EOBs/Payment Remittances
7. Through daily work activities identifies trends or patterns, either system or process driven, that can be corrected to show improvement.
8. Engages in team activities as evidenced by participation, mentoring, and training with co-workers.
9. Works with team members to balance cash.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent, associate degree or higher preferred.
• Level I requirement: one year work related in health care administrative, financial, or insurance customer services, claims, billing, call center or management regardless of industry.
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office ADD and above average Excel skills.
• Proficient 10 key skills.
• Possess the technical aptitude required to understand flow of data through systems as well as system interactions.
• HCHB (Home Care Home Base) experience preferred.
• Home Health Hospice related experience preferred.
