Caregiver Position

Direct Care Professional

ComForCare Home Care is looking for experienced direct care professionals to work in the Fenton area for DAY and/or EVENING shifts. Must be willing to work a rotating weekend schedule in some capacity. Other positions available in Genesee & Lapeer Counties.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance, such as showering/bathing, dressing, toileting
• Remind clients to take medications
• Safely assist with transfers and ambulation (Fall Prevention)
• Help with mobility outside the home (transport to doctor's appointments, grocery shopping, etc.)
• Help plan and prepare meals and/or assist with feeding
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Assisting clients with all Activities of Daily Living
• Companionship and encouragement of hobbies and enrichment activities to improve quality of life
• Safety oversight for cognitively impaired individuals

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in a healthcare or in-home care environment
• Reliable transportation (Valid Driver's License Not Necessary)
• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting
• Eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Compassionate, kind individual that takes pride in their work
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience as a Caregiver, CNA, Home Health Aide, or completion of a CNA Program (No state license) preferred but not necessary

Compensation: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
