Home Health Aide (HHA) / PCA
The Home Health Aide (HHA) / PCA provides clients various personal care and homemaker/companion services in accordance with an established plan of care so that they can remain in their residence.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements:
- High school graduate or G.E.D certificate
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
- Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job
- Must be at least 18 years old
- You must have some experience with autistic children who are not high functioning
Responsibilities:
- Fridays, Sundays and occasional Saturday 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 pm or 11:00 p.m.
- Assist with toileting, bathing, grooming, doing some of his laundry, cleaning messes, preparing meals and cleaning it after school, assistance with meal preparation, and some transferring as per care plan.
- Client will also need help getting in and out of vehicle used to transport to and from school occasionally.
- Having some experience with autistic children is a plus.
Must be:
- Willing to keep client active
- Good at communicating
- Have driver's license and car
