CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System has been a cornerstone of compassionate, faith-based care in South Texas since 1869. Currently, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Westover Hills, situated in one of San Antonio's fastest-growing regions, is undergoing a significant $300 million expansion. This development includes a new patient tower featuring state-of-the-art cardiovascular operating rooms, a hybrid OR suite, and a dedicated CVICU, positioning Westover Hills as a premier hub for advanced cardiac and surgical care.

CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic (CTC), the employed medical group for CHRISTUS Health, ranks among the largest multispecialty groups in South Texas, comprising over 1,000 physicians and advanced practice providers across more than 130 locations. CTC is home to a robust cardiac care team that includes interventional cardiologists, general cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and dedicated support staff.

We are excited to invite applications for our first Cardiovascular Surgeon role, which will spearhead the launch of our new surgical service line.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and lead the new Cardiovascular Surgery program for CTC
• Perform a comprehensive range of cardiac procedures
• Collaborate with a high-performing, multidisciplinary heart team
• Participate in outpatient consultations and provide comprehensive perioperative care
• Contribute to the development of quality standards and clinical growth strategies

Qualifications:

• Board certified or eligible in Cardiovascular Surgery
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited cardiovascular surgery fellowship
• Eligibility for Texas medical license
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in team-based care
