Cardiac Sonographer (Lancaster)

Job Title: Echo Tech

Location: Lancaster, Ohio, 43130

Contract duration: 13 weeks

Shift:4X10 -hours (Monday to Friday)(Thursday off)

Schedule: Days

Key Responsibilities:

• 2-D echo with M-mode
• Color flow and cardiac Doppler
• Stress echocardiography
• Transesophageal echocardiography
• Conduct cardiovascular diagnostic tests within licensure: EKGs, event/cardiac monitors, pulmonary function tests, Doppler studies, and stress testing.
• Record and document procedure data in patient charts and EMR; promptly notify physicians of urgent findings.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Assist with patient transport, clerical tasks, supply inventory, and billing logs.
• Participate in monthly cardiovascular meetings, CQI initiatives, and Six Sigma quality improvement.
• Train, supervise, and precept students and new employees.
• Support patient rights and privacy in compliance with HIPAA.
• Perform CPR and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• ARDMS registered cardiac sonographer, or registry eligible
• CCI certification preferred
• BLS
• Experience: 12 years of experience as an Echo Tech preferred, with competency in 2-D, Doppler, TEE, and stress echo.
