Job Description Overview

Join our team as a Cardiac Catheterization Radiologic Technologist and play a vital role in diagnosing and treating heart diseases. In this position, you will perform essential procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization/EP Laboratories, operating specialized equipment such as X-ray machines and hemodynamic monitoring systems. You will assist in various interventions, including stent placements, balloon angioplasties, and electrophysiology tests, all under the supervision of a physician.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procedure Documentation: Ensure accurate documentation of all procedures in the Cardiac Lab, capturing important patient and procedure details.
2. Equipment Operation: Utilize complex equipment related to the Cardiac Catheterization/EP Laboratory to monitor patients during procedures.
3. Safety and Quality: Maintain a safe environment for patients by adhering to safety protocols, verifying patient identification, and complying with hygiene guidelines.
4. Professional Development: Engage in ongoing education by attending CEUs, training programs, and taking the lead in unit-based initiatives.
5. Radiation Safety: Implement and maintain quality control programs for radiographic equipment, promoting best practices in radiation safety.
6. Data Management: Perform clerical duties related to the documentation of procedures and ensure accurate billing for patient accounts.
7. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of supplies and equipment needed for procedures.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an approved program in radiologic technology.
• Experience: Prior experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab is preferred.
• Licenses/Registrations: ARRT (RT) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and RT - MA - Radiologic Technologist - MA State License.
• Certifications: ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required.

Hourly rate: $45.45 - $61.17/hour
