Cardiac Catheterization Radiologic Technologist - Sign-on Bonus Available

Job Summary:

As an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist, also known as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in diagnosing and treating heart diseases. In this position, you will perform essential procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization/EP Laboratories and operate specialized equipment, including X-ray technology. Your responsibilities will encompass assisting with invasive cardiac procedures, such as stent placements and electrophysiology tests, while ensuring the patient's safety and comfort throughout the process.

Compensation: Pay Range: $45.45 - $61.17

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Procedure Documentation: Accurately document all procedures in the Cardiac Lab, ensuring patient records are comprehensive and precise.
2. Equipment Operation: Utilize and maintain various complex equipment, including hemodynamic monitoring systems and radiographic devices, ensuring optimal functioning during procedures.
3. Safety & Quality: Uphold a culture of safety by verifying patient identification, adhering to hand hygiene guidelines, and maintaining a hazard-free environment.
4. Professional Development: Engage in educational opportunities and training programs, actively participating in department initiatives.
5. Radiation Safety: Implement quality control procedures for radiographic equipment and coordinate radiation safety training for staff.
6. Data Management: Conduct clerical duties, including accurate billing and maintaining records within the cardiac catheterization logbook.
7. Inventory Management: Oversee stock inventory, ensuring necessary equipment and supplies are ordered and replenished promptly.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Education: Graduate of an approved radiological technology program.
• Preferred Experience: Prior experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or related field; EKG interpretation and arrhythmia recognition experience is a plus.

Licenses & Certifications:

• ARRT (RT) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (Radiologic Technologist)
• RT - MA - Radiologic Technologist - MA State License
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
