CAD Drafter

• Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday (7:30am - 4:00pm)

Job Description:
A Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Drafter is responsible for creating technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software. This role will be working on underground and aerial map updates.
Essential Duties:
• Update electric and gas facility maps using Microstation, IrasB, and GIS (G\Tech).

• Utilize Asset Suite 8 to research affected documents (pending map updates) with all associated ECs (engineering changes).
• Maintain all CAD drawings for PECO Electric Construction Standards.
• Creating detailed drawings, plans, and layouts based on specifications provided by engineers, architects, or designers.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Create 2D and 3D models of structures, components, and systems.
• Communicate and coordinate with project team members to ensure timely completion of drawings.

Requirements:

• 5-10 years of CAD drafting experience
• Have a strong understanding of drafting principles and practices, as well as proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• A certificate from a Tech School for Computer Aided Drafting & Design, or a Bachelor's in Engineering (any focus).
