What You Will Do :

The CAD/BIM Technician supports the facilities design, construction, and renovation projects. The responsibilities of the CAD/BIM Technician include:

• Ability to create new or modify existing AutoCAD drawings

• Ability to create new or modify existing BIM drawings

• Utilizing existing CAD drawings, overlay polylines for integration with the space management system

• Manage process for maintenance and updating of CAD/BIM drawings

• Develop test-fits, Design Intent Drawings (DIDs), and Stacking-plans using AutoCAD

• Provide technical guidance, and formal and informal training to team members

• Create and maintain a master library of CAD/BIM drawings

What You Will Need :

• An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "TOP SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance

• Bachelor's degree

• THREE (3) or more years of experience in CAD, space planning, or other related field

What Would Be Nice To Have:

• Bachelor's degree Interior Design, Architecture or related field

• Strong working knowledge of architectural drawings and furniture and space planning concepts

• Strong knowledge of interior code design standards (e.g. A.D.A.)

• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with executive level external and internal clients as well as external team members (architects, contractors, landlords, client's representatives, etc.)

• Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents

• Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations

• Expert level experience using AutoCAD

• Proficiency in Revit, graphic design, and/or 3D modeling and visualization software

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to collaborate with team members and follow instructions

• Work independently with little supervision

• Ability to effectively present information

The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
