Cable Technology and Services Engineer

System One is actively seeking a CABLE TECHNOLOGY AND SERVICES ENGINEER for a permanent position located in Knoxville, Tennessee. This position will support our client, a leading nuclear engineering services company headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee with a worldwide list of clients.

JOB OVERVIEW:

As an engineer working in the Cable Technology and Services Group, you will be responsible for performing tests and assessing the health of electrical cables using proprietary company software and analysis techniques. Will also work with the engineering team to support commercial and research projects related to understanding the health and condition of cables installed in nuclear power plants.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

• Strong skills in data analysis and problem solving.

• Detail-oriented, able to follow structured processes.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Team player who can collaborate with technical and field personnel.

• Experience in the nuclear power industry, polymer science, I&C, power systems and technical writing is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform various electrical and material property tests and analyze data from various nuclear plant systems

• Collaborate with engineers to solve problems.

• Prepare clear reports and presentations for internal teams and customers.

• Follow quality assurance processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.

• Travel 6 to 12 times per year for an average 4-day duration per trip to perform testing at national and international nuclear power plants.

LOCATION: On-site at company headquarters

SALARY RANGE: $70,000 - $105,000 per year plus full package of benefits
