Business Delivery Driver

Schedule: 7:15am-3:45pm, Monday-Friday with Mandatory Overtime

Your Role:

As our Delivery Driver, you will ensure safe transportation and delivery of office supplies along your designated route. Depending on daily volume, you may also load your truck.

Safety is paramount, and we expect you to adhere to safe practices while contributing to our safety culture.

Your responsibilities will include organizing and loading products for delivery using manifests to ensure efficient routing and scheduling. You will also serve as a problem solver for our customers by providing support, managing product returns, and ensuring their satisfaction. Remember, you are our brand ambassador on the road!

You will be pivotal in the success of Staples Supply Chain as we serve our clients.

Your Qualifications:

• Proven ability to drive safely and courteously while navigating various road and weather conditions.
• Sound decision-making skills related to driving, parking, safety, and customer interaction.
• A collaborative mindset to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers to solve issues effectively.
• Familiarity with technology, including GPS and mobile Proof of Delivery (POD) devices.
• Willingness to maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform pre-trip inspections, reporting any maintenance issues.

Basic Qualifications Required:

• Valid driver’s license with a history of safe driving.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen (No THC) as permitted by law.
• Must obtain a 6-month DOT medical card related to the role.
• Basic proficiency in English (verbal and written communication).
• Full-Time associates must be flexible to work additional hours beyond scheduled shifts based on business needs.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and push/pull items weighing up to 400 pounds with assistance.
• Minimum age of 21 years required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• At least 1 year of experience driving a 16ft or longer straight truck or similar vehicle.
• Experience with high volume package delivery.
