Job Title: Building Services Tech

Job Summary: Building Services Technician will be responsible for monitoring nightly building closing as well as performing on demand WOs and scheduled PMs, inspections. Much of the on-demand work to be performed will be requests that can not be completed when building is occupied during business hours which will include meeting room set ups, furniture moves, carpet stain treatments, basic lighting, plumbing, HVAC work and miscellaneous tasks as requested. Work with other service providers and customer employee(s) to identify issues and communicate with team members, internal and external customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Daily building closure (building rounds, turn off lights, secure entrances, set building alarm to active)
• On demand WOs (inclusive of work requests that can not or should not be done with employees in the building)
• Scheduled PMs and Inspections

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Drywall, Handyman experience is a plus.
• Must possess a valid drivers license
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of the organization.

• Basic hand tool and power tool operation
• Basic understanding of building operating systems

Physical Demands:

Typical physical demands are expected for a general handy man within an office setting. Light lifting, moving equipment, climbing ladders, bending, sitting or standing for long periods, climbing stairs and walking short distances.

Work Environment:

The work environment is typical for an office building with utility and mechanical rooms, stairwells, elevators, cubicles, offices and storage.
