A well-established hospital in Memphis, TN, is seeking a General Supervisor Technologist - Blood Bank to oversee daily operations, provide technical guidance, and ensure high-quality, regulatory-compliant lab services.

What You'll Do:

Provide day-to-day supervision of blood bank testing personnel and lab operations
Ensure all testing meets clinical and regulatory standards for accuracy and turnaround time
Supervise high-complexity test performance and provide consultative support to technologists
Assist with scheduling, inventory, quality control, and ongoing performance improvement
Step in to perform complex lab testing and troubleshooting as needed
Participate in training, orientation, and mentorship of new team members and students
Maintain clear documentation and contribute to the development of SOPs and compliance processes
Serve as a key contact for laboratory-related questions and resolution of escalated issues

Job Requirements
Qualifications:

Graduate of an approved Medical Technology program or equivalent education experience
Licensed as a Laboratory Supervisor (or eligible) in the state of Tennessee
At least 4 years of Medical Technologist experience, including 2+ years in blood bank
Strong understanding of high-complexity testing and applicable regulatory standards
Ability to lead, train, and support a collaborative team under CLIA and state lab guidelines
Must meet all requirements to supervise high-complexity testing per CLIA
