We are an established, lucrative CPA firm specializing in international tax services for Japanese clients. We offer a dynamic role for an International Tax Senior that allows working remotely from home. This position is perfect for candidates possessing a strong background in public accounting and a flair for dealing with complex tax and accounting issues. Your role will involve preparing multifaceted federal and state tax returns, managing intricate tax issues, and building sustainable client relationships. Fluency in Japanese is a core prerequisite to effectively cater to our client base.

Salary: DOE per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preparing federal and multi-state tax returns for C corporations, S corporations, partnerships, high-net-worth individuals, estates, and trusts.
• Handling and resolving complex accounting and tax issues.
• Conducting extensive tax research both basic and complex.
• Developing and maintaining robust client relationships.
• Identifying and leveraging opportunities for tax planning and consulting.
• Collaborating closely with partners on strategic client engagements.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or Business Administration.
• Minimum of 2 years’ tax experience in public accounting firm.
• CPA license or currently pursuing CPA designation.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Self-directed with an entrepreneurial work ethic and ability to handle complex issues.
• Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven experience dealing with Japanese corporate and individual tax clients.
• Advanced competencies in tax software and tools relevant to tax processing and research.

Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of federal and state taxation laws and guidelines.
