Behavioral Health Technician

FTE: Full Time, 0.9, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Nights

Pay: $20.87 - $27.13 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary:

Join our dedicated team at UCHealth, where we focus on creating a safe and therapeutic environment for patients with behavioral health needs. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure optimal support and care delivery in inpatient, emergency, or ambulatory settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment in collaboration with the care team.
• Monitor and document patients' coping mechanisms; provide crisis intervention when necessary.
• Provide input and recommendations to the clinical team to assist in developing and implementing the plan of care.
• Report changes in patients’ physical, mental, or emotional conditions to the care team.
• Utilize critical thinking skills and work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health related field.
• 1 year of related Behavioral Health experience.
• Advanced CPI training within 30 days of hire, with annual recertification.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
