Behavioral Health Specialist

Shift: Days

Pay: $31.61 - $47.41 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide effective counseling and therapy for assigned patients in individual and group settings, ensuring a supportive environment.
• Conduct comprehensive interviews and assessments involving patients and relevant family members or guardians.
• Identify and arrange necessary internal and external services to enhance patient care and facilitate case reviews or care conferences.
• Assist in discharge planning by identifying community resources and providing appropriate referrals as part of the discharge process.
• Employ suitable educational techniques to meet the informational needs of patients and their families effectively.

Minimum Requirements:

• Master's Degree in a relevant field.
• State licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPC-C), Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate (MFT-C), Social Work Candidate (SWC), or Licensed Social Worker (LSW).
• Current BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Completion of Advanced CPI training within 30 days of hire, with annual recertification as per BHA regulations.
