Behavioral Health Specialist - Full Time

Shift: Days

Pay: $18.40 - $27.60/hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary:

As a Behavioral Health Specialist, you will play a crucial role in fostering a safe and therapeutic environment for patients with behavioral health needs. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will be responsible for managing the milieu in inpatient, emergency, or outpatient settings. Your contributions will not only enhance routine patient care but also facilitate crisis interventions when necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure a supportive and therapeutic atmosphere for patients.
• Continuously monitor and document patients' coping mechanisms while providing timely crisis interventions.
• Contribute valuable input to the clinical team to develop and implement effective care plans for assigned patients.
• Follow established guidelines while executing job functions, requiring excellent critical thinking and judgment skills.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment, addressing challenges with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED required; a Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health-related field is preferred.
• 1 year of experience in behavioral health is required.
