Behavioral Health Associate

FTE: Full Time, 0.9, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $20.87 - $27.13 / hour. Compensation is based on relevant experience.

Summary:

As a key member of the care team, you'll support patients with behavioral health needs in a safe and therapeutic environment. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, you'll engage in milieu management to enhance patient well-being in various settings including inpatient and emergency departments.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the care team to create a supportive, therapeutic atmosphere.
• Monitor and document patients' coping mechanisms, providing crisis intervention when necessary.
• Offer insightful recommendations to the clinical team in developing effective care plans and executing these plans for assigned clients. Report any significant changes in patients' physical, mental, or emotional health.
• Follow established guidelines to perform job functions diligently.
• Utilize critical thinking and decisive judgement while working autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED required; a Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health-related field is preferred.
• At least 1 year of relevant Behavioral Health experience is mandatory.
• Must obtain Advanced CPI within 30 days of hire and complete yearly recertification to adhere to BHA rules and regulations. BLS certification is needed within 3 months of hire.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross must be valid starting before the start date.
