You will work directly with children (ages 18 months to 8 years) using ethical, evidence-based ABA techniques with outstanding supervision, ongoing training, and support from a passionate team.

Key Responsibilities as a Behavior Therapy Specialist:

• Implement one-on-one ABA therapy techniques to assist children with Autism in reaching their fullest potential by understanding and applying their treatment plans, conducting data collection, writing insurance notes, and adapting to supervision feedback during observation sessions.
• Facilitate the development of young children through enjoyable and engaging therapeutic activities.
• Collaborate with a supportive team to enhance treatment effectiveness, maintain safety, and ensure a fun working atmosphere in our center.
• Engage with children in various play-based activities that include movement, imitation, and interactive play—maintaining an energetic and joyful environment.
• Communicate positively and effectively with peers, families, and supervisors to coordinate activities, celebrate achievements, and advocate for individual needs.

Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move children in a fast-paced setting, up to 30 lbs, along with bending, squatting, and quick movements to engage with children effectively.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating environment conducive to therapy.
• Ability to multitask by balancing various actions and decisions while assessing prioritization and safety.
• Support teamwork across centers and communities, which may involve travel to nearby locations as needed.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Complete the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification process within 20 days of employment by passing a 40-hour training course, undergoing hands-on competency assessment, registering for the exam, and passing.

Pay Ranges Based on Experience & Education:

• Associates/High School: $15.00 - $22.50
• Bachelors: $15.00 - $24.00
• Masters: $16.00 - $26.00

For entry-level candidates, your first raise can be earned upon certification as RBT, typically within 21 days.

Preferred Experience Includes:

• Childcare roles (nanny, babysitter, preschool teacher, tutor, etc.)
• Mental health advocacy and roles (QMHP, behavioral health technicians)
• Experience as camp counselors, volunteers, or Sunday school teachers
• Degrees in education, special education, sociology, psychology, or related fields (preferred)
• Experience as paraprofessionals, direct support staff, or life skills assistants
• A passion for working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
• A strong desire to join a caring, team-oriented culture
