Ocean Club Concierge & Membership Bartender

Team Members who encompass the role of Ocean Club Concierge & Membership Bartender take the initiative to deliver a unique and memorable experience by providing a wide range of services that makes the transaction feel like a part of an elevated experience for all guests and Members.

A Bartender is responsible for preparing beverages and serving beverages and/or food to guests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

Required Certifications: Both a Responsible Beverage Server (RBS) Certification is required for this position.

Classification: Full Time, Seasonal

Shift: Various must be available to weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Rate: The pay rate for this role is $17.40 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

What will I be doing?

• Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, condiments and produce based on projections and forecast
• Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and applicable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality
• Greets guests in a courteous, professional and timely manner, promotes and documents orders for drinks.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages to guests and Members.
• Assist with set up of buffet when needed.
• Transport food items to and from the kitchen.
• Replenish beverages as needed.
• Retrieve and transport dirty tableware to dishwashing area.
• Answer questions on menu selections. Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, re-cook orders, and product availability.
• Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
• Record transaction in Point of Sale system at time of order and present physical and accurate check to guest and process payment when applicable.
• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction throughout dining experience and/or after each delivery of food and beverage items.
• Check guests for proper identification. Detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained. Demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws.
• Receives cash from guests, makes any change needed, verifies validity of charges, records charges, and ensures vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all moneys.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including storing all reusable goods, breaking down goods, cleaning all equipment and areas, returning equipment to proper locations and securing coolers, cabinets, and storage areas.
• Requisition all necessary supplies, transporting supplies from storeroom to set-up area as required.
• All other duties as assigned
• County of San Diego Food Handlers Card and RBS Certification are required
