Bariatric Program Manager RN

Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Bariatric Program Manager RN to lead our comprehensive bariatric program. This role is essential in planning, collaborating with various departments and physicians, and promoting our services to the community.

Location: UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital, Fort Collins, CO

Schedule: Full Time, 1.0, 80 hours per pay period (2 weeks). Day shifts available.

Compensation: Competitive pay range of $40.86 - $63.33 per hour, commensurate with relevant experience.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program; Master's preferred.
• Active State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN); Bariatric certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience with at least 2 years in bariatrics.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the regional bariatric program and identify areas for improvement to enhance processes and overall quality.
• Maintain compliance with criteria to retain designations and serve as a liaison for site visits.
• Monitor patient outcomes and put measures in place to improve quality and customer service.
• Enhance physician integration into the program and maintain data in a national research database.
• Train staff to effectively implement established pathways and assist in future planning for the bariatric program.
• Lead expansion efforts for inpatient and outpatient services, including weight loss and lifestyle management strategies.
• Conduct assessments of equipment and the work environment, acting as a resource for staff.
• Evaluate educational needs and provide necessary education to patients and the community, including leading support groups.
• Manage bariatric staff including hiring, performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
• Supervise the Bariatric Navigator program.
