The iconic Arizona Biltmore is located in the heart of the prestigious Biltmore neighborhood in Phoenix. The resort was named the "Jewel of the Desert" since its opening on February 23, 1929. This gorgeous 39-acre property reopened in May 2021 after undergoing a $150 million restoration. It has over 700 rooms, over 200,000 square feet in banquet space spread out over the beautiful property, 9 food and beverage outlets (including 2 restaurants, 2 bars, 2 poolside bars, a gelato shop/caf, and in-room dining), a luxury spa, and 7 pools including a 65' waterslide. As a Banquet Cook III, you will be responsible for maintaining, setting up, producing food and controlling quality of all food items prepared in the different kitchen stations, i.e., meats, fish, vegetables, bread products, sauces, stocks, seasoning, etc. Specifically, this includes: preparing all food items according to standard recipes or, as otherwise specified by supervisor, to ensure consistency of product to the guest; requires transportation of heavy food products. Checking and controlling the proper storage of product, especially on all fresh produce, checking on portion control, to maintain quality product. Keeping all refrigeration, storage, and working areas clean, working condition in order to comply with Health Department regulations. Ensuring all equipment in working areas is clean and in proper working condition to comply with Health Department regulations. Visually inspecting, selecting and using only the freshest fruits, vegetables, meats and other food products of the highest standard in the preparation of all menu items. Reading and employing math skills for following recipes. Preparing requisition for supplies and food items for production in workstation.

This is a full-time position and you must have availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Qualifications include at least one (1) year of cooking experience in a professional, fast-paced kitchen. Prior hotel/resort experience, upscale dining experience, and graduate of an apprenticeship or accredited culinary school are preferred. An Arizona Food Handler Card is required. ServSafe Food Handler Certification is preferred. Passionate about delivering amazing experiences and driven to grow your talents are also required.
