The Hilton Cleveland Downtown is looking for their next Banquet Cook. Soaring 32 stories with stunning views of Lake Erie, Hilton Cleveland Downtown is located in the heart of downtown with 600 modern guest rooms, and upscale amenities like an indoor pool and rooftop bar. Connected to the Convention Center, it's just steps from Cleveland's key nightlife & entertainment district. The Hilton Cleveland Downtown provides a dynamic and professional setting for team members to grow their hospitality careers.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role within a hotel banquet environment. You will have excellent organization skills and the ability to work quickly and with precision. Creativity, passion, dedication and a hunger to learn and progress is essential!

Pay Rate: $21.06 an hour

What will I be doing? As a Lead Cook, you would be responsible for preparing food items in accordance with recipes and established standards in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Prepare hot and cold food items including, but not limited to, salads, fruits, dressings, fish items and appetizers, according to designated recipes and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times.
• Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products.
• Follow a production sheet with minimal guidance.
• Demonstrate strong proper knife skills.
• Have a strong understanding of mother sauces.
• Work independently while following BEO.
• Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen.
• Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations.
