Avionics Technical Drafter

Insight Global is looking for a Maintenance Technical Writer for an aerospace client onsite in Fort Walton Beach, FL. This role supports the CH-47 rotorcraft program and involves reviewing and interpreting engineering data, maintenance manuals, and technical documentation. The writer will analyze the impact of engineering changes on existing materials and update manuals for avionics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems. Responsibilities include working with engineering data, tool lists, and Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) databases; revising and maintaining technical manuals; and communicating effectively with engineering and production teams. The writer will also support documentation for new systems and updates for existing customers, ensuring all materials are clear, accurate, and aligned with maintenance and operational standards.

1+ year of rotorcraft (helicopter) maintenance experience
56 years as a mechanic in aerospace or heavy vehicles (e. g., trucks)
Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office
Maintenance mindset and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
