Automation Engineer - DeltaV | Pfizer Sanford, NC

Our client, a leading organization in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, is seeking an Automation Engineer to join their team. As an Automation Engineer, you will be part of the manufacturing operations team supporting automation systems and process control. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Support, maintain, and optimize the Emerson DeltaV Distributed Control System (DCS) used in biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
• Design and implement control logic, batch recipes, and equipment modules to meet manufacturing needs.
• Troubleshoot system issues, perform change implementations, and support system validation activities.
• Integrate DeltaV with plant-level tools such as OPS and Asset Management Programs for proactive maintenance and diagnostics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Quality, and Engineering to ensure system compliance and performance.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience with plant communication systems like OPS or similar.
• Familiarity with Asset Management Programs such as AMS integrated with DCS platforms.
• Solid understanding of GMP regulations, 21 CFR Part 11, and batch automation standards (ISA-88).
