Automation Controls Engineer

Trillium Professional has a direct-hire opportunity in Marshalltown, IA for an Automation Controls Engineer.
Relocation assistance is available. Annual salary is $110k/year.
What You’ll Do
-Design, specify, and implement advanced electrical control systems for automation projects.
-Program and optimize robots (Fanuc), PLCs (Allen Bradley), HMIs, and CNC equipment (HAAS).
-Lead troubleshooting and problem-solving to improve real-world manufacturing processes.
-Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to design custom fixtures and automated systems.
-Develop and execute in-house testing and validation procedures.
-Collect and analyze production data to drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
-Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field, preferred
-5+ years of hands-on experience in automation, controls, and system integration.
-Strong knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs, Fanuc robots, and/or HAAS CNCs.
-Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical and/or Autodesk Inventor.
-Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
-Excellent communication skills with the ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-driven culture.
