In a one-on-one ABA setting, you'll work hands-on with children (ages 18 months to 8 years) using ethical, evidence-based ABA techniques in a supportive environment. As a Behavior Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Applying the principles of one-on-one ABA therapy to assist children with Autism in reaching their full potential through reading treatment plans, implementing therapies, collecting data, and utilizing supervisor feedback during observation.
• Supporting the development of young children (ages 18 months to 8 years) through engaging and fun therapeutic activities.
• Collaborating with a team to optimize treatment, ensure safety, and maintain a fun working atmosphere throughout the center.
• Engaging with children through play, movement, and imitation. Activities may include running, dancing, singing, reading books, or playing with toys while keeping a joyful environment.
• Effectively communicating with stakeholders (e.g., peers, families, supervisors) to coordinate activities, celebrate achievements, and address personal needs.

Job Requirements:

• Lift and move children in a fast-paced environment, which includes lifting up to 30 lbs, bending, squatting, and actively engaging on the floor with children.
• Maintain a therapy-conducive environment by keeping play areas tidy, organized, and stimulating for children.
• Multitask to manage multiple actions, decisions, and conversations while ensuring safety for everyone involved.
• Support teams by working cohesively across centers, which may include travel to nearby locations when necessary.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
• Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

You will need to complete the RBT certification process within 20 days of employment by passing a training curriculum, hands-on competency assessment, registering for an exam, and successfully passing the board's exam.

Pay ranges based on experience and education:

• Associates/High School: $16.20 - $23.50
• Bachelors: $17.50 - $27.00
• Masters: $19.00 - $28.00

Your first raise is earned upon certification as RBT, typically within 21 days.

Experience in the following fields is a plus:

• Childcare (nanny, babysitter, preschool teacher, tutor, etc.)
• Mental health professionals and advocates
• Camp counselors, volunteers, or Sunday school teachers
• Degrees in teaching, special education, sociology, psychology, or related fields
• Experience as paraprofessionals or life skills assistants
• Passion for working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Eagerness to join a caring, team-oriented culture
