Assistant Vice President, Controller of Finance -Selby Jennings

• Lead all accounting and financial reporting functions, including GAAP and statutory reporting for P&C insurance operations.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage regulatory filings and compliance with state insurance departments and NAIC requirements.
• Develop and monitor internal controls, risk management procedures, and financial policies.
• Collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, and claims teams to ensure accurate financial forecasting and reserve analysis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.
• Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and tax advisors.
• Mentor and develop finance staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred).
• 7+ years of progressive experience in insurance finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of P&C insurance accounting, statutory reporting, and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with insurance-specific financial systems and ERP platforms.
• Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
