Assistant Store Manager - Spencer's

Location: El Centro, CA

Overview

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining Guest Services. The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in the various tasks involved in the overall operation of a store, ensuring maximum sales and profitability by developing staff, controlling expenses and shrinkage, and managing all aspects of merchandising and inventory control in adherence with Company policies and procedures. The minimum age requirement for an Assistant Store Manager is 18. The physical demands of the job include standing in excess of 8 hours, walking, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Prior retail and/or management experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain Guest Services.
• Support the Store Manager in tasks involved in the overall operation of the store.
• Develop staff to maximize sales and profitability.
• Control expenses and shrinkage.
• Oversee merchandising and inventory control in accordance with Company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and/or management experience is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to stand for long periods, walk, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly rate ranges from $18.75 to $19.00 and is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
