Assistant Professor of Clinical Integrative Anatomical Sciences-Human Anatomoy

Overview

The Department of Integrative Anatomical Sciences at the Keck School of Medicine invites applications for a full-time, 12-month Clinical track Assistant Professor position in Human Anatomy. The appointment is non-tenure track and begins July 1, 2023 or shortly thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Teach human gross anatomy in a dissection-based course with a clinical emphasis within an integrated medical curriculum.
• Fulfill the department's obligation for continued excellence in teaching anatomy to health professional students.
• Provide teaching and advising in the department\'s M.S. and Ph.D. programs.
• Contribute to teaching of related anatomical sciences as desired (e.g., neuroanatomy, embryology, histology).
• Develop and maintain an productive research program in the anatomical sciences with potential to attract extramural funding.
• Collaborate with faculty within the department and contribute to scholarly activity aligned with anatomy, histology, and neuroanatomy interests.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
• Prior experience teaching human gross anatomy to health professional students.
• Strong commitment to empirical scholarship in the anatomical sciences.
• Potential to attract extramural funding.
