The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Nephrology is recognized regionally and nationally for leading and/or contributing to cutting-edge research, and advancing the knowledge about kidney diseases to patients, peers, and trainees. Join our Division of Nephrology to lead innovative translational research that bridges lab discoveries to clinical care.
Essential Functions
- This individual will contribute to the clinical/patient care, cutting-edge research, and teaching missions of the division with opportunities of funded research, publish impactful findings, and mentor the next generation of nephrologists.
- Develop competitive research proposals to secure funding from federal agencies (e.g., NIH), foundations, and industry partners for translational projects.
- Ideal candidates are driven to advance kidney health through collaborative innovation and exceptional patient-centered research
- Clinical duties based on the funding status may include 1-2 half day clinic/week and/or 2-4 weeks of inpatient services
- Other duties as assigned.
- M.D. / D.O. or equivalent degree.
- Ohio medical license.
- Completion of three-year Internal Medicine residency.
- Completion of two-year nephrology fellowship program.
