We are a growing manufacturing plant located in Altavista, VA, committed to innovation, quality, and continuous improvement. As we expand, we're looking for a hands-on leader to join our team and help drive operational excellence.

We are seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined Assistant Plant Manager to support daily operations, lead production teams, and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency across the plant. This is a first-shift leadership role ideal for someone with a strong mechanical background and proven leadership skills in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Plant Manager in overseeing daily plant operations
• Lead and mentor production staff to meet performance goals
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and support maintenance efforts
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and productivity
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial operations
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate teams
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
