Assistant Director

The Assistant Director supports the Preschool Director in overseeing daily operations, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for children. This role combines leadership, administrative duties, and direct engagement with staff, families, and children to uphold the school's mission and standards.

Salary: $80,000 $90,000 Per Year

Setting: Special Education Preschool

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing curriculum implementation and classroom activities
• Support staff supervision, training, and performance evaluations
• Maintain compliance with licensing regulations and safety protocols
• Foster positive relationships with families and address concerns
• Coordinate scheduling, enrollment, and administrative tasks
• Step in as acting director when needed

Qualifications

• Masters in Early Childhood Education
• Experience in preschool or childcare leadership
• School building leader or district leader license required
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of child development and early learning standards
