Assembly Technician
We are seeking a skilled Production Operator to join our team. This role involves building, inspecting, testing, repairing, programming, and troubleshooting a variety of printed circuit boards and electronic assemblies. You will be responsible for developing specifications, modifying operating programs, programming chips, and operating all production line equipment. This position requires working from schedules, work orders, schematics, blueprints, and other instructions, as well as assisting with physical inventories as needed.
Responsibilities
- Build, inspect, test, repair, program, and troubleshoot a wide variety of printed circuit boards and electronic assemblies.
- Develop specifications and modify operating programs.
- Program chips and ensure full operation of all production area line equipment.
- Work from schedules, work orders, schematics, and blueprints.
- Assist with physical inventories as required.
Essential Skills
- Experience in assembly, electronics, soldering, and schematic troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Experience with material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Must have a 2-year technical degree (e.g., ITT, IVY tech).
- Experience in electrical and PCB soldering.

Work Environment
This role is with an emergency warning manufacturing company with over 500 employees and three separate unions at the facility. The work environment includes using hand tools, millimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other precision electronic instruments. Shifts available are 1st shift (6am-2:30pm) and 2nd shift (2:30pm-11:00pm).
Job Type & Location
This is a permanent position based out of University Park, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45281.60 - $45281.60/yr. Union benefits, 401K, health, dental, vision, short term/long term disability, paid time off, paid holidays.

This is a fully onsite position in University Park, IL.
