As a Armed Security Officer - Correctional Site in Raleigh, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As this is an armed and driving post, you will be responsible for carrying out your duties while armed and may be required to operate a vehicle as part of your patrol responsibilities. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and address situations in accordance with training and post orders.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and provide assistance to staff, visitors, and/or contractors as needed.
• Complete incident reports and document activities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when necessary in accordance with site procedures.
• Participate in ongoing training to maintain qualifications for armed security-related duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess a valid Armed Guard Card or Armed Guard License.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
