Software Design Engineer II (.NET/Azure/Kubernetes)

Join a dynamic engineering team responsible for delivering a container-based managed platform that powers innovation, enhances security, streamlines operations, and reduces cost of goods sold (COGS). This team supports compute infrastructure across the Identity & Network Access division, running multiple services and actively migrating additional workloads to the new platform.

Typical Day in the Role:

• Debug and troubleshoot production issues across identity-related services
• Conduct unit testing and perform code reviews to uphold software quality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical deliverables with business goals
• Document technical specifications and participate in project planning meetings
• Contribute to platform development and service migration initiatives

Candidate Profile:

Required Experience:

• 34 years of overall engineering experience
• Minimum 2+ years with .NET development
• Minimum 2+ years with Azure cloud services
• Minimum 3+ years working on platform engineering or Kubernetes

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is a plus, but not required

Disqualifiers:

• Unable to work onsite 23 days per week
• Residing more than 50 miles from the office
• Less than 12 months of availability remaining (candidates with <9 months excluded)
• Insufficient experience in .NET and Azure

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Kubernetes and opentelemetry
• Prior experience at Microsoft (nice to have)
• Proven ability to work across multiple teams and diverse projects
• Strong communication and adaptability in hybrid environments
• Excellent documentation, testing, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions
