Job Description: Apex Systems, a world‑class technology solutions provider, is seeking an Application Security Engineer to serve one of our largest financial industry clients. You will implement and support solutions and technologies used for static code analysis (SCA) and static application security testing (SAST) with industry‑leading tools. The engineer will lead initiatives to improve application security posture by migrating infrastructure and re‑configuring security tool services for cloud SaaS platforms. Responsibilities include managing Docker containers, Helm charts, Rancher, and automating with Java, Groovy and Python scripts. You will update and reconfigure CI/CD builds to integrate security tools, optimize security processes, and recommend opportunities for automation. Support incident response and technical investigations as needed, and ensure compliance with regulations and policies.

• Assist with Jenkins builds, onboard teams and troubleshoot issues
• Automate support tasks
• Setup, migrate and upgrade application security tools for SAST, OSA & DAST

Requirements

• Experience with SAST, OSA, DAST
• Proficient with Jenkins and GitLab
• Knowledge of Docker containers and cloud environments
• Programming skills in Java, Python & Gradle
• Strong DevOps, application security, and cloud experience

Preferred Requirements

• Threat modeling expertise
