Analyzer Technician

Apex Systems is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Analyzer Technician to join their client in the oil & gas industry working onsite in Beaumont, TX. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability and accuracy of process analyzers used in refining and chemical operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation, a strong understanding of process control systems, and a commitment to operational excellence. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of online process analyzers (e.g., gas chromatographs, pH, conductivity, oxygen, and other analytical instruments).
• Ensure analyzer systems are functioning within specifications to support safe and efficient plant operations.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to resolve instrumentation issues and optimize analyzer performance.
• Maintain documentation for analyzer maintenance, calibration records, and compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
• Participate in turnaround planning and execution, including analyzer system upgrades and replacements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to analyzer reliability and data accuracy.
• Adhere to the companys safety standards and procedures at all times.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with process analyzers in an industrial or refining environment.
• Strong knowledge of analytical instrumentation and control systems.
• Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (e.g., EPA, OSHA, ISA).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Honeywell, Siemens, ABB, or Emerson analyzer systems.
• Knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
• TWIC card and ability to work in a petrochemical facility.

Work Environment:

• Role involves working in outdoor and indoor industrial environments.
• May require climbing ladders, working at heights, and exposure to varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to wear required PPE and pass safety and drug screening protocols.
