Analytical Chemist

We are seeking an analytical chemist to support, lead, and develop the R&D team in creating innovative new products. This role involves performing field testing, scaling up processes, and developing new polymers, adhesives, epoxies, and coatings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the R&D team in developing new products and processes.
• Perform field testing and scale-up of new product developments.
• Support the development of new polymers, adhesives, epoxies, and coatings.
• Drive all R&D activities and determine new products for the marketplace.
• Manage product development projects and drive continuous improvement activities.

Essential Skills

• Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry and polymer chemistry.
• Expertise in research and development, scale-up, and raw material testing.
• Experience in epoxy, polymer, and adhesive development.
• Proven track record in leading R&D teams and managing product development projects.
• 5+ years of experience in R&D for coatings, adhesives, and regulatory standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards related to coatings and adhesives.

Work Environment

The position is 100% onsite at the Westwood facility, working Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The production schedule is 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, allowing for alignment with this schedule.

Job Type & Location

This is a permanent position based out of Westwood, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $140000.00/yr. They have full vision, dental, health, and vacation. They have great benefits for medical leave as well.
