Sheet Metal Mechanic

Sheet Metal Mechanics perform aircraft customization and modification on Bombardier Globals, focusing on sheet metal repairs and modifications on aircraft structures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform sheet metal repairs and modifications on aircraft structures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical manuals.
• Fabricate and install sheet metal parts using hand tools and power tools.

Essential Skills:

• 6+ years of experience performing sheet metal and heavy structural modifications.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Eligibility for security clearance.
• Must have own tools that are etched, inventoried, and shadowed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with depot, aircraft repair, and modification.
• Skill in sheet metal fabrication and installation.
• Aviation and aircraft sheet metal expertise.

Work Environment:

Work at a leading electronic defense company located at the Hagerstown Regional Airport in Hagerstown, MD. The MRO facility is fast-paced, focusing on military ISR modifications to turboprop aircraft and Bombardier Globals. Employees work in a hangar environment, performing aircraft modifications in a production-based setting. The facility provides Total System Solutions for Aircraft Modification, Maintenance, and more.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of Hagerstown, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $46.00 - $48.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
